Bucksport High School Guidance

Welcome to the BHS guidance website where we keep our students and parents/guardians informed about what is going on and what is to come. Bucksport High School Graduation Requirements:

  • Students must earn 24 credits
    • 4 credits in English
    • 4 credits in Math
    • 4 credits in Science and Technology (Biology required)
    • 3 credits in Social Studies (US History required)
    • 1 credit in Fine Arts
    • 1 credit in Health
    • 1 credit in Physical Education
    • Proof of Computer Proficiency
    • Maine Studies requirement (most students meet this in middle school)
    • All students must complete 40 hours of community service

October:
  • 10/13: Indigenous People's Day, No School
  • 10/15: PSAT Testing (optional, Sophomores and Juniors)
  • 10/30: FAFSA Workshop 6:00pm
  • 10/31: End of Quarter 1
November:
  • 11/8: SAT at BHS (Saturday)
  • 11/11: No school, Veterans' Day
  • 11/13: Aspirations Day event at BHS
  • 11/24-25: Parent/Teacher conferences (sign up through BHS guidance office
  • 11/26-28: No school, Thanksgiving  break
December:
  • 12/2: Blood Drive @ BHS gymnasium, 8-2
